A New National Anti-Corruption Campaign will be launched in Accra on Monday April 29, 2013 under the auspices of the Centre for Freedom and Accuracy and Tiger Eye Private Investigators.The Campaign will be mass media driven and will aim at raising public and civic awareness of the debilitating effects of corruption on Ghana’s national development effort and to dissuade people
from the practice.It is also aimed at following up on all reported cases of corruption and putting pressure on all State institutions that are responsible for taking action in these cases, to live up to their responsibilities.Elements of the campaign include Regional Launches, the establishment of Youth Clubs against Corruption across the country and the ‘naming and shaming’ on National Television and other
Media Networks, public officials who are caught engaging in corruption.The President of the Ghana Catholic Bishops Conference, Most Reverend Joseph Osei Bonsu will be the Guest Speaker with Justice Emile Short- Former Head of Ghana’s Commission for Human and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) as Chairman.The President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. John Dramani Mahama will be represented by the Attorney-General and Minister for Justice Madam Marrita Brew Appiah Oppong.The Accra launch is expected to attract a large number of Government and Political Party Officials, Leaders of Ghana’s Corporate Community, Heads of Anti-Corruption Institutions, Members of the Diplomatic Corps and Heads of Multilateral and Bilateral Development Agencies.
