Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Chief Executive Captain Anthony Cudjoe (retired) on Tuesday cut the sod for work to begin on a GH¢1.3 million Kansaworodo Light Industrial Area project.The project was to enable the consortium to relocate artisans from the Tanokrom Light Industrial Area to Kansaworodo in order to construct a shopping mall complex Tanokrom.Speaking at a ceremony, Alhaji Gakpo, the National President of the Ghana National Association of Garages (GNAG), commended the Western Development Consortium Limited for purchasing almost 60-acre land for the project.He said the first phase of the project involves clearing the land and constructing some social amenities by the Peekob Company Limited.Mr. Jonathan Kwamina Kwadzie, Western Regional Chairman of GNAG, thanked the traditional authorities in the area for making land available for the project.He said the Association would positively contribute towards the development of the area and help equip the youth with employable skills.
