The Legon Botanical Gardens, Saturday hosted hundreds of families who took part in 2013 edition of the Joy Fm Family Party in the Park.
The biggest family outdoor event is designed to foster close family ties being lost to pressures of work.
It also provides a platform for the various participating families to know each other through networking.
Patrons had fun with their families with lots of fun-filled activities including live band music.
This year’s event introduced a new game called “How fast can you eat the apple?” which saw many children participate in with fun.
Despite the rains, some families traveled from as far as Akosombo in the Eastern Region to take part.
Some patrons who spoke to JOY NEWS did not hide the fact that they have had the “fun and excitement” they expected.
Lily Coffie of the Events Promotions Unit of Multimedia Group Limited, organisers of the programme said, though they were overwhelmed by the numbers, they had made adequate preparation to cater for everybody.
