The Institute of Human Resource Management Practitioners-Ghana, the professional body for Human Resource Practice in the country, will on Thursday May 23, 2013 organize a sensitization seminar for its members and all Human Resource Practitioners in and around the Tema Metropolis.
The workshop will take place at the Valco Club House. The first of its kind was held on Friday, March 1, 2013 in Accra at the HR Centre, Nyaniba Estates.
Under the theme: “Implementation of the New Three-Tier Pension Scheme- Role of HR Practitioners”, the seminar is expected to address the rationale and objectives of the new pension scheme, the key features, regulatory structure and the management of the scheme.
The workshop will also identify the implications and options for participation in the 2nd and 3rd Tier of the Pension scheme as well as its Implementation and the role of Human Resource practitioners.
The Government of Ghana in 2004 initiated major reforms in the country’s Pension System, a situation which culminated in the subsequent roll-out of the Three-Tier Pension Scheme for all workers in 2009.
