After the 9-2 thrashing served the Ghana National Beach Soccer Team, the Black Sharks will be hoping to make amends in Thursday’s crucial group A encounter against the highly favored Senegalese Team.
Ghana Coach Johnny Conceicao who attributed his side's defeat to the intimidating atmosphere at the El Jadida Beach Soccer Arena and inexperience of his boys at the continental level knows, failure to pick anything from this encounter would end the dream of reaching the FIFA Beach World Cup this year.
Strikers Joseph Larwerh and Richard Osa who looked lethargic in the opening day defeat must step up but the Sharks have a lot to worry about due to the kind of opponent they face.
Senegal have won the African Beach Soccer Championship twice and finished as quarter finalists in the last two Beach Soccer World Cups.
They began their campaign with a 7-3 victory over Madagascar. The Sharks would line up against them at 14.30Hrs Gmt at the Magazan Beach Resort.
The other group A game will see the high Flying Hosts take on the Madagascar.
Current Group B leaders Nigeria will be hoping to book a place to the next stage of the competition as they take on Egypt while Ivory Coast who bagged their first three points on Match day one play Libya.
