Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Felix Annan has expressed his disappointment at not playing at the just ended FIFA U20 World Cup in Turkey following his extended stay in Belgium for a trial session with Club Brugge.
The 18 year old, who was expected to spend just two weeks, ended up staying for up a month which automatically cost him a place in Sellas Tetteh final squad for the tournament.
Annan was second choice at the African Youth Championship where Ghana finished second.
He revealed in an interview with Joy sports how hurting it was for him to watch the tournament on TV.
"I can't use the word regret but it was disappointing for me that I couldn’t go to the World Cup because of my trials in Belgium," he told Joy sports
"I thought I could go to Belgium and come back on time to join the team but because I had to stay for two more weeks there was nothing I could do so I missed and for me I was really disappointed considering the fact that I was with the team for the qualifiers and the African championship.
"I was really looking forward to go but as you know at times certain decisions have to be taken."
The Black Satellites won bronze at the just ended FIFA U20 World Cup in Turkey.
