Pastor KwadwoAgyekum has more prophecies for Ghana. This time he has prophesied that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will rule Ghana for twenty-four (24) years.
"Unless they become selfish and refuse to follow God's directions, they (NPP) will reign for 24 years," claims Pastor Agyekum, a Minister of the Kingdom Worship Centre Church with its headquarters at Apraku, near Weija Junction on the Mallam-Kasoa road.
Recently in an interview, the Man of God named Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, a leading NPP f1agbearer aspirant and Hon. Kennedy Agyepong, Member of Parliament for Assin North as the next two Presidents of Ghana.
Even if anyone will take Pastor Agyekum seriously, it certainly cannot be the National Democratic Congress. For now, Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia, NDC General Secretary has treated the prophecy with little attention.
He told the Public Agenda on Thursday, "I have no comment because we (himself and the Pastor) are operating on different planes; he is operating on the spiritual plane and I on politics so any reaction will not make sense."
Meanwhile, theAshanti Regional Chairman of the NDC Mr. Daniel Ohene Agyekum served notice that, "Should the leadership of the NPP conduct themselves in the same way as they did in 2004 by arrogating to themselves the constitutional powers of the Electoral Commission (EC) to announce the results for the 2008 elections, ... then it will be a recipe for chaos and confusion in the country."
According to him, the NDC "will certainly not be a second fool in 2008 if the leadership of the NPP repeats what they did."
Continuing, Pastor Agyekum said Hon. Agyepong will beat off a challenge from Mr. Dan Botwe, former General Secretary of the NPP and Mr. Kwabena Agyapong, former Presidential Press Secretary to emerge the NPP's flag bearer for the 2016 general elections. "He will go on to win the presidential race and become president in January 2017."
The NPP's rule will come to an end when Hon.Agyepong completes a two-term reign as President on January 7, 2025, the Man of God told Public Agenda.
The baton of leadership will then be handed over to a Convention People's Party (CPP) government.
However, God has not yet revealed the identity of the CPP leader, Pastor Agyekum told the Public Agenda.
Pastor Agyekum first came onto the public scene when he told Public Agenda that he had a vision that President Kufuor would be involved in an accident and had prayed on the Atwea Mountains, located at Abasua, near Nsuta in the Ashanti Region to save the gentle giant's life.
When asked to explain why the name of the leading opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is missing from the list, he said the NDC had disregarded God's choice for the party and Ghana through the "Swedru Declaration.”
It will be recalled that in 1998 President Jerry John Rawlings declared Profes¬sor John Evans Atta Mills as his successor at a rally in Swedru, Central Region but Pastor Agyekum has claimed that "Professor Mills was not the appointed person for that time and that is why he lost."
According to the Man of God, "Mr. Goosie Tanoh was God's appointed one. God's light was on him in a vision I had."
The Man of God said "If the NDC had chosen Goosie they would have won the elections. He took their spirit away when he left to form another party."
Consequently, "God has delivered the Presidency to the NPP for 24 years."
Late last month, Pastor Agyekum warned the NPP to elect no other person than Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as presidential candidate at the party's upcoming congress.
"God has chosen Nana Addo as successor to President John Agyekum Kufuor to lead the NPP and Ghana for eight years.
"Only Nana Addo can lead the NPP to victory in 2008, any other candidate will fail," the Man of God stressed as he narrated a series of revelations he has ostensibly received from God in the last two years to Public Agenda.
