Government says it deserves commendation for freely allowing the election petition hearing to proceed without any interference.
Deputy Information Minister Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed said the development is an indication that the National Democratic Congress administration is one that respects the rule of law.

The Deputy Minister however said, the determination of the case paves the way for government to fully continue and deliver on its "Better Ghana Agenda" promise.
In a related development, the committee set up by the New Patriotic Party to analyze the Supreme Court judgment on the election petition says it is early days yet to tell whether the party would be seeking a review of the judgment.
The party has given the committee the task to examine and advice it on the way forward.
