Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa is set to make his 100th appearance for the club in their CAF Champions League Group A match against AC Leopards on Saturday.
Meyiwa – who has been arguably Pirates' best player during their Champions League campaign – has labored almost seven years to approach the milestone, and will hope to mark the occasion by helping Bucs qualify for the semi-finals of the tournament.

After keeping guard of the posts for much of last season, the 25-year-old has continued as first-choice keeper in the new campaign.
Meyiwa has endured a frequently frustrating stay at Pirates since making his PSL debut on November 8, 2006 against AmaZulu, spending most of the past five years as back-up to Moeneeb Josephs, who has since left the club for Bidvest Wits.
Before displacing Josephs as the Sea Robbers' number one in November last year, Meyiwa only played 36 games in an especially trying four-and-a-half-year spell.
Last season was without doubt the best for the former youth international, as he competed in 30 games in all competitions – the highest number of matches he has ever played in a single term.
Meyiwa is now into his ninth season in the Pirates first team, having first been registered as a teenager with the senior side during the 2005-06 campaign.
The Umlazi-born shot-stopper was recently voted the club’s player of the month for August.
