The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has elected parliamentary candidate for the Kwadaso constituency.
Joseph Yammin, a 30-year-old Contractor in Kumasi, who now leads the party in the constituency, won by popular acclamation in the election, which was supervised by the Electoral Commission.
Alhaji Baba Jamal, Deputy General Secretary of the NDC, thanked delegates of the party for their cooperation and commitment to the party's development.
He asked them to be vigilant and bold in championing the party's cause to enable the NDC regain power in the 2008 Elections.
Mr Jamal said the party would use constitutional means to fight against electoral biases in the 2008 Elections adding that the NDC was determined to win the elections to enable the party address the socio-economic challenges of the nation.
Mr Yammin commended the delegates for electing him and promised to work hard to enable the party win the seat.
He said he would improve upon sanitation of the area, the poor road network among other things if elected as Member of Parliament.
Mrs Diana Osei-Assibey Frimpong, official of the Electoral Commission, advised party executives to select knowledgeable people as their agents during elections to ensure free, fair and peaceful polls.
