A former presidential spokesperson in the Kufuor administration, Kwabena Agyepong has officially declared his intention to contest the General Secretary position of the New Patriotic Party.
Kwabena Agyapong is banking his hopes on the experience he has garnered over the years to win the election.
Addressing some party supporters in Accra, the 2008 NPP flagbearer aspirant said the party needs action oriented leadership in order to secure victory in 2016.
He said he is ready and willing to serve the party by putting himself up for election and to work in the interest of the party.
Agyapong faces stiff competition from Nkrabea Effa Darteh and the substantive General Secretary of the party Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, all of whom have made public their intention to contest the position in the March 2013 Congress.
