A deputy Minister of Information has noted that the days of Alban Bagbin as a special project supervisor in the Mahama administration ought to come to end following his public criticism of the President last week.

Taking to social media, Felix Kwakye Ofosu posted Monday evening that he holds "the view that the Hon. Alban Bagbin has made his continued stay in government untenable with his conduct”.

The former Majority Leader in Parliament has last week descended heavily on the Mahama-led administration for lacking the political will to fight corruption and remaining largely inaccessible.

Alban Bagbin again continued his tirade after a presidential staffer Stan Dogbe called him a "big liar" who failed to fight corruption as a Minister of Health. "If such characters as Stan Dogbe, are those managing the president, then our president is naked, very naked!", Bagbin replied.

The list of party functionaries and government appointees wading into the matter keeps growing as Foreign Minister Hannah Tetteh, Information Minister Hassan Ayariga, former chairman of UK/Ireland branch of the NDC, Horace Ankrah and another presidential staffer Dr. Clement Apaak have all had a bite at the cherry.

Not to be outdone, a deputy minister is calling for the resignation of the man described as one of the government's three wise men. Felix Ofosu Kwakye believes the fate of the Nadowli-Kaleo Member of Parliament is self-inflicted.

Alban Kingsford Sumana Bagbin will be celebrating his 20th anniversary as a parliamentarian this year having joined the legilative body since 1993.

His constituency has been divided three times, from Nadowli North to Nadowli West to the current Nadowli-Kaleo constituency. He was Minority Leader from 2005 – 2009 and Majority leader from 2009 to 2010.

He was appointed Minister for Water Resources, Works and Housing from 2010 to 2012 and Minister of Health from 2012 to January 2013. He is currently in charge of government's special projects.

It remains to be seen what fate will befall Alban Bagin after his crusade of criticism.
