The British Broadcasting Corporation has revelead five candidates for the 2013 BBC African Footballer of the Year award.
The announcement was made on the BBC's Newsday programme today, with Ivory Coast's Yaya Toure making the shortlist for the fifth consecutive year.
He is joined by Nigerians Victor Moses and John Mikel Obi, Burkina Faso's Jonathan Pitroipa and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Gabon.
The winner will be decided by African football fans, who have until 18:00 GMT on 25 November to vote for their choice.
Abedi Pele, Samuel Osei Kuffour, Michael Essien, Asamoah Gyan and Andre Dede Ayew have been crowned the BBC African Footballer of the year since its inception.
Voting
The winner of the award will be selected by fan-voting, which will be conducted using an SMS platform.
To vote, one needs to send an SMS to +44 7786 20 20 08, with the number assigned to the player.
