President John Dramani Mahama has appointed a number of former ministers to ambassadorial positions.
Leading the pack former Head of the Policy Monitoring and Evaluation Unit of the Presidency, Dr. J. Tony Aidoo.
A release from the Flagstaff House also named the following as ambassadors-designate:
1. Former Information Minister John A. Tia
2. Former Eastern Regional Minister Emmanuel Victor Smith
3. Former Northern Regional Minister Moses Magbengba
4. Former Secretary to Cabinet Ben C. Eghan
5. Former Minister for Youth & Sports Madam Akua Dansua
6. Former Minister for Tourism Mrs. Zita Okaikoi
7. Former Acting CEO of the NPRA Sam Pee Yalley
8. Former Brong Ahafo Regional Minister Kwadwo Nyamekye Marfo
9. Former Upper West Regional Minister Mahmoud Khalid
