The Member of Parliament for Adentan Constituency in Accra says, refurbishment works on the main road between School Junction and Ritz Junction will be completed in three weeks.

The works, which began weeks ago, will also see the Adjrigannor to Trasacco road repaired, Joy News’ Piesie Nana Yaw- Safo reports.
Contractors say the use of the roads while it is under construction, is delaying the project.
“It is observed that routes with less interference show much progress. The contractor had to clear rubbish before starting work.
“That takes a lot of time and resources,” observed Member of Parliament for the Adentan constituency, Yaw Boabeng Asamoah at an inspection tour of the project.
“The commercial people must appreciate that they have a role to play. Their role is to keep their activities contained,” the MP added.
According to the MP, they are “in the process of finding a temporal place for commercial drivers to use so as not to disturb the flow of work.”

He, therefore, asked constituents to bear with the contractor as work will be done within two to three weeks.
“The contractor was worried and believes that if we least interfere, work will progress faster. If he is given full access, probably within two to three weeks, we should see asphalt being laid. Virtually all the ancillary works are done. He needs the space to now lay the final surface. So it should not be longer than two-three [to] weeks,” the MP estimated.
