There will be a new name on the Wafu Cup trophy after Senegal edged reigning champions Togo to set up a meeting with Ghana in Thursday's final.
Senegal defeated Liberia 2-0 on Tuesday at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi to maintain their hundred record in Group B of the sub-regional competition reserved for only home-based players.
Just five minutes into the start of the game, Senegal jumped in front when Mandy Dominic scored the opener.
And in the 39th penalty, Senegal's top scorer Talla Ndiaye scored to extend his tally to three goals in three matches.
The Teranga Lions will now face Ghana who booked their place in Thursday's showdown with a 2-1 win over Burkina Faso in Group A on Monday.
Holders, Togo won their game 3-1 against Niger in Obuasi but missed out of the chance to advance to the final as they finished second and three points adrift Senegal.
Saibou Badarou opened the scoring for Togo in the first half as they led 1-0 into the break.
Omarou Youssef equalised for Niger after the interval Mani Sapol struck a brace for Togo.
For the third-place fixture, Togo will meet Benin, who finished second in Group A.
