Former President John Kufuor says he is ready to testify before the Judgement Debt Commission investigating the controversy surrounding the sale of the GNPC drill ship.
This was revealed by Aide to President Kufuor, Frank Agyekum.
Former GNPC boss Tsatsu Tsikata during his testomony at the Commission on Tuesday accused the former president of complicity in the deal.
John Kufuor has described Tsikata's comments as reckless and irresponsible.
The former Energy Minister at the time of the sale, Albert Kan-Dapaah and his deputy Kobina Tahir Hammond have testified this week already.
The 2012 New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo also is requesting the Judgment Debt Commissioner, Justice Yaw Appau to invite him to answer questions over the controversial sale of the drillship in 2001.
Nana Akufo-Addo was Attorney General during the sale of the drill ship.
But Frank Agyekum wants the growing list to also include former President Jerry Rawlings under whose watch the debt was incurred to also agree to testify.
