An 80-member trade and investment delegation from Hubei China last Tuesday visited the Reroy Cables Factory located at the Tema Industrial Area.
After an hour long tour of the factory, the Chinese delegation was pleasantly surprised that a wholly-owned Ghanaian Company had modern machines which could, among other things, produce Fire-Resistant Electrical Cables, conductors and accessories.
Madam Zhau Cai Juan, a member of the Hubei China Council for the Promotion of International Trade who led the delegation, gave the assurance that she will recommend Reroy cables company to the Hubei Chamber of Commerce for collaboration and technical support.
“Let me say that we are really impressed with what we have seen here. Companies like Reroy Cables are the kind of businesses Chinese investors would like to support. I therefore extend an invitation to the Management of Reroy Cables to visit Hubei China early next year”.
The CEO of Reroy Cables, Mrs Kate Quartey-Papafio thanked the Hubei China Trade Delegation for the visit; and hoped it would mark the beginning of "greater things to come."
“China’s technological advancement in the power sector is common knowledge. It is my hope therefore that we can link up with our Chinese counterparts for technical support”, she added.
The Chinese who were here for a three day Ghana-Hubei China trade and investment exhibition held at the National Conference Centre has since left for home.
