Three security men have been murdered in Ashaiman in the Greater Accra region with some parts of their body missing.
The lifeless bodies of the three, Ibrahim Bagada Sumaila, Joshua Afuugu and Kobina, were discovered at different locations Sunday.
All three were found with their clothes covering their heads “with blood oozing from his eyes, nostrils, ears and mouth suggesting that some organs has been removed from the head part,’ a police report said.
There was no robbery at the facilities they were guarding.
A police report sighted by JoyNews said Abdul Razak Ibrahim, an agent of Apsonic Motors Ashaiman, “came to the Ashaiman charge office and reported that around 0545hrs he went to his shop and found his watchman Ibrahim Bagada Smaila 70 years murdered.”
The report noted that as the body was being carried into the Police vehicle to be conveyed to Police Hospital, “another information got to the Police that another watchman has been murdered at Kasapreko warehouse opposite Ashaiman Senior High, just about 50 metres from the first crime scene.”
“Police went there and saw another watchman only known as Kobina 70yrs murdered and his face covered with his clothes. During a critical examination, it was detected that part of his head organs removed but the Kasapreko warehouse was devoid of any break-in,” the police said and added that they are going to rely on a CCTV camera at the facility to help them unravel his death.
The police later got information about the third victim, Josuah Afuugu, age 35, at Talaku near Ashaiman roundabout.
“Critical examination on his body also unearthed an eye removed but no shop was tempered with. All the three bodies conveyed to Police Hospital for preservation and autopsy,” the police report stated.
