The Assemblyman for James Town, Joseph Addo, has been charged with assault following an attack on JoyNews’ Photojournalist, David Andoh.
He pleaded not guilty and has been granted bail in the sum of GH₵5,000 with two sureties.
Mr Andoh was part of the media team embarking on the 'Clean Ghana' campaign to rally citizens to their civic responsibility to keep the country clean.

The Assemblyman smashed the Journalist’s camera and another person slapped him from behind demanding that the team leaves the area.
Lawyers for Mr Addo made the application for bail as he was arraigned.
They said Mr Addo will show up in court when needed and was also preparing to contest elections.
The Adjabeng District Court granted the request as it adjourned the case to October 7.
