Three main committees to facilitate the airlifting of Ghanaians to Brazil next year for the FIFA World Cup by travel and tour giants, Bahmed Travels, and Emirates Airlines were launched yesterday in Accra.
They were media, finance and tour guide. A fourth one for the supporters groups to be headed by One Man Supporter, Abraham Boakye, is to be roped in.
The move according to the CEO of Bahmed Travel and Tour is to ensure accountability and transparency.
Bahmed Travels and Emirates Airlines have completed arrangements to airlift football fans across some selected African countries to the Mundial next year.
After jointly signing the deal, Alhaji Ahmed Bandoh, CEO of Bahmed Travel and Tours, and the Country Manager (Ghana) of Emirates, Hendrik Du Prees, both promised to give fans the best package and to make their stay in Brazil stress free.
Already, Togo, Benin and Mali have been roped into the programme which involves chartered flight for fans to reduce flight hours to Brazil.
At least 2,500 first class accommodations have been secured for fans.
