Abrehyia United emerged champions of the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem (KEEA) District gala competition when they beat Shalom FC on penalties in the finals of a soccer competition at the SSNIT Park at Elmina.
They received GH¢200.00 cash, a set of jerseys and a trophy as their award.
Shalom FC as the runners up received GH¢150.00 and a football.
The Central Regional Minister, Nana Ato Arthur who sponsored the event, later presented the trophy to the winner and thanked all those who had contributed to ensure its success.
Eight teams drawn from various parts of the District took part in the gala which was aimed at fostering unity and peaceful co-existence, particularly among the youth.
