The Western Regional Branch of the Prisons Ladies Association (PRILAS) on Thursday presented assorted items to the Essikadu Hospital.
The items include boxes of Voltic Water, loaves of bread, bed-sheets, fruits and a gallon of liquid soap.
The PRILAS’s contribution was for the consistent support it has been getting from the hospital.
Presenting the items, Chief Superintendent of Prisons Afua Serwaa Asibey said the donation also formed part of the activities marking the inauguration of the Western Regional branch of the association and urged the management to continually demonstrate its love for the prisons.
She said PRILAS’s motto of "We love, We support and We Care" inspired them to give something to the hospital.
Receiving the items, Mrs. Naomi Adomako-Kwakye, Matron of the hospital thanked members of PRILAS for the donation.
She said the hospital would continue providing the requisite services to the general public without any discrimination or favour.
