Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan grabbed a brace on Thursday as his side Al Ain recorded a 3-0 win at Dubai Club in the UAE Arabian Gulf League.
Gyan opened the scoring on 17 minutes when he headed in Alex Brosque’s cross from inside the box as he was left unmarked.
It was his 16th goal of the current campaign and Al Ain went into the break with a comfortable lead.
Four minutes after recess, Gyan punished the defenders of Dubai Club who failed to deal with with Ahmed Al Shamisi cross.
Gyan profited from a poor clearance to fire home from close range.
Yassine El Ghanassy scored the third with a sublime finish on 79 minutes.
