All is set for the burial of late Paramount Chief of Busunu, Busunwura Numgbanso II, whose sudden demise occurred in the late hours of Tuesday at the Damongo Hospital in the West Gonja district of Savannah Region.
About 25 sub-Chiefs and family heads of the traditional area have gathered at his palace to ensure that the late chief is buried according to the traditions and culture of Busunu.
A spokesperson for the chiefs, Langateri-wura Salifunu Sulemana said people responsible for the burial of the late paramount chief have assumed their role to ensure that he is laid to rest according to the rites and customs of the Gonja tradition.

The late Busunuwura Nungbanso II who is also known in private life as Larseni Mahama ascended to the Busunu skin in August 1996 and has reigned for 23 years joining few other paramount chiefs whose reigns have survived beyond two years as many are alleged to have survived for six months or a year.
He will be remembered by many as the only chief with the best traditional Damba display in Gonjaland and his strict adherence to protecting the environment.
Chief Nungbaso II according to family sources, suffered from a prolonged illness until he was rushed to hospital last week where he was placed on oxygen and later pronounced dead by medical officers at the facility.
Politicians, traditional rulers and people from all walks of life are expected to arrive in Busunu in the coming days to pay their last respect to the late Paramount chief of Busunu.
He was 95 years and is survived by two wives and 14 children.
