The final of the Twin Up contest was a fun-filled event comprising various segments where couples showcased the depth of their love.
The event was hosted by the Edem Knight-Tay, host of Joy FM’s Home Affairs and Head of Programmes for the Joy Cluster was introduced to help foster strong ties and friendship amongst couples.
The TwinUp campaign, a brainchild of Joy FM’s Home Affairs, in partnership with Pearls Executive Network was launched to foster strong ties and friendship amongst couples.
The maiden event was held at Labadi Beach Hotel where 10 couples contested for a one-week all-expense-paid romantic trip to Nairobi and Dubai.
Comprising three main segments, the event was attended by Santok Singh, Managing Director of MultiTv and General Manager of Joy Cluster, Emma Morrison.
The first round comprised a runway segment were couples were asked to showcase their outfits and share the genesis of their love and how their journey along the way has been.

In the second stage, the couples flaunted their general knowledge in a pop quiz after which the points from the first and second round were collated to determine the finalists.

The five couples who made it to the final round participated in a “knowing me knowing you segment” where they were asked questions to prove how well they know one another, with the winners getting 9 out of 10 questions correct.
Judges Rev. and Mrs Azigiza, looking out for fashion, style, friendship and creativity, crowned Dr and Dr Mrs Kelugu the winners of TwinUPGh 2019.
The 1st runner up couple was Mr and Mrs Adintoghe while Mr and Mrs Gasinu the 2nd runner up of the event will have the opportunity to spend a weekend at the Volta Serene Hotel while the rest of the participants were given consolation prizes.
