The Caesars Court Clubs Minigolf league gets more exciting each passing week after Nutterz Putterz leapfrogged defending champions Forbes Club to occupy the top spot of the Cealeague log after the second week of competition last Sunday.
Last week the competition teed off at the 18-hole international standard the Ghana Minigolf Federation course at Caesars Court at Ridge, Accra, with the participating teams aiming to dethrone defending champions Forbes Club.
Last Sunday, Nutterz Putterz made a strong showing in the league featuring five leading clubs, including Kama Club, Power club, Black Putters and Golden Putters.
After Match Day two, Nutterz Putterz lead the log with 28 points and a total score of 1013.
Kama Minigolf Club came second with 28 points and a total score of 1018, whilst Power Minigolf Club followed in the third position with 21 points and a score of 1042.
Golden Putters and Black Putters clubs finished in fourth and fifth positions with 21 and 19 points respectively.
For the second consecutive week, Ruben Miko of Kama Club scored the lowest with 74 points for his two games for the Best Stroke Play, while Power Club duo of Solomon Lokko and Fofana Mutawakil logged the best-combined score of 150 points to win the prize for the Best Clubs Duo.
On each match day, each club competes with three pair of players and play six matches on the day.
During the five-week competition, organised by the Ghana Minigolf Federation and sponsored by Caesars Court at Ridge, a total of over 100 matches is expected to be played by the teams when the league climaxes on December 15 with the champion club and outstanding individual players honoured at a ceremony.
The league continues on Sunday, December 1 at Caesars Court minigolf course with competitive fixtures teeing off at 3.00 pm.
