The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) says it will from February 1, next year delete the names of all pensioners who have not gone through the Biometric re-enrolment exercise.
The Trust, in 2014 directed members to re-enrol through the biometric registration process and followed up with reminders to ensure that this call is adhered to.
However, some pensioners are yet to go through the stipulated process.
Management of SSNIT says the Trust “will stop payment of monthly pensions to pensioners who fail to re-enrol by January 31, 2020’ adding that ‘pension payment to affected persons will only be restored after biometric re-enrollment.
SSNIT, therefore calls on pensioners who have not followed the procedure to visit the nearest branch by January 31, 2020.
