Retired referee Joseph Wellington to represent West Africa in a special FIFA Seminar

Ghana’s FIFA and CAF referee’s instructor Joseph Wellington will represent West Africa in an upcoming FIFA referees instructor’s meeting in Las Palmas in Spain come February 16, 2014.

The 43 FIFA member meeting involving referees instructors and development officers will be reviewing the FIFA laws of the game and also access the readiness of the selected FIFA referees for upcoming world cup in Brazil.

Referee Wellington is expected to leave Ghana on February 15, (Saturday) morning to join the rest of his colleagues.

In an exclusive interview with Asempa FM the experience administrator says it feels good to be nominated for this august FIFA programme.

“I believe it is an honor for me and will make sure to learn different things from this occasion to benefit refereeing in Ghana.

“Many may wish for this so if I’ve getting this opportunity, I will go and prove my wealth because is my life”. He added

The 7 day event will see renowned officials exchanging ideas in other to help the game football.
