Club Shandy ‘Bosoe’ was first introduced by ABL in 1995 to popular acclaim. Over the years, it has received great patronage in the Northern parts of Ghana.
ABL in its quest to maintain a continuous connection and relevance to consumers, has rebranded Club Shandy ‘Bosoe’ to reflect a youthful glow and refreshing look that exudes fun and excitement; true components and unique qualities of the brand.
Club Shandy ‘Bosoe’ is refreshing beverage with a touch of lemon extract which gives it aninvigorating taste. It has a low alcohol by volume (ABV) content of 2% and appeals to fun lovers and individuals who generally enjoy their drink with low alcohol content.
The Managing Director of Accra Brewery, Gregory Metcalf aided by a key distributor of ABL, Mr. Paul Anaman, CEO Satea Enterprise, Tema, unveiled the new Club Shandy and re-launched the mini pack.
Mr. Metcalf in his welcome address noted “ABL creates brands that are exclusively customer-centred. The re-launch of Shandy Mini will also bring an added excitement to ABL’s Club Shandy lovers who now have the option of consuming their drink in their preferred bottle size be it the large (625ml) or the mini (330ml)”.
James Sarfo Boakye, Marketing Manager, ABL, said “There will be massive investment with respect to activation and promotions which will be defined around the thematic theme Happy Go Shandy in the coming months at various locations in the country.”
The ceremony was attended by key distributors, wholesalers, retailers, key clients and members of the media. A beach party dubbed Shandy Splash has been scheduled for all consumers and fun lovers at the La Pleasure Beach Resort with various performances from EL the award-winning hip-life musician.
Shandy can be purchased in various drinking bars and shops across the nation but can only be enjoyed by persons of 18 years and above at the recommended retail price Ghc2.50 per bottle for the new mini pack and Ghc3.00 for the 625ml pack.
