The National Insurance Commission (NIC) says it has begun the implementation of the Motor Insurance Database (MID) policy.
The NIC, which is the regulatory and supervisory body of the insurance services sector, in a statement, said the implementation began on January 1, 2020 and is aimed at curbing “the menace of vehicles with fake motor insurance stickers plying our roads.”
The statement detailed the key features of the Motor Insurance Database, which the commission advised vehicle owners to take notice of.
