Exactly a year ago, the whole nation, especially the people of Buem constituency in the Volta Region, was thrown into a state of mourning over the sudden death of the former Volta Regional Minister Henry Ford Kamel.
He was also the Member of Parliament for Buem constituency.
A memorial service was held on Sunday 23rd February 2014 at the St. Peter Clever Cathedral at Jasikan in his memory.
His first daughter Xadria Dede Kamel described him as a loving father, while his colleague ministers led by the deputy Volta Regional Minister, Francis Ganyaglo described him as a gentleman.
An associate Priest at the St. Peter Clever Cathedral said he was a man of peace who played an influential role to end the Hohoe crisis.
A wreath laying ceremony was also held at his hometown Guama where he was buried.
