The Beverage Consumers and Bar Owners Association of Ghana, is cautioning its members against engaging in partisan debates that could lead to violence as the nation heads into the political season.
The group, also known as the ‘Drunkards Association’, further instructs bartenders to ensure objects such as openers and bottles that could be used as weapons in the event of a riot, are kept away immediately after consumption.
These were contained in a statement issued Thursday, February 27, 2020, and signed by the Association’s President, Moses Onyah (Dry Bone), as part of their contribution to ensuring law and order before, during and after the December presidential and parliamentary polls.
