Ten members of the Atwima Nwabigya District Assembly in the Ashanti Region want the District Chief Executive, Ofori Donkor removed from office.
The members are accusing the DCE of abuse of office.
They have therefore presented an eight point resolution to the Presiding Member of the assebmly calling for a vote of no confidence to be passed on Mr Donkor.
The assembly members said the DCE had hijacked a community initiative programme as well as the school feeding prograame.
According to them Mr Donkor also failed to account for an amount of GHc 2,800 given to him to supply electricity poles for a certain community.
But the DCE told Luv FM’s Saed Ali Yakub that the allegations were baseless.
He said he had acted in the interest of the district, arguing he had the responsibility as the DCE for the district to ensure that all projects were well executed.
Mr Donkor stressed that the community people were not complaining because they appreciated all his interventions.
Meanwhile, the Presiding Member of the 29 member assembly has acknowledged receipt of the resolution and said he studying for the appropriate action.
