Join Seth Kwame Boateng this Thursday on HOTLINE DOCUMENTARY, titled "Pain from Cursed Cells".
The documentary discusses the sickle cell disease and the misconceptions associated with it.
Women with sickle cell say the problems they face are more painful than the pain they go through when they are in labour.
In some parts of Ghana, it is seen as a spiritual disease warranting the performance of sacrifices to pacify the gods anytime they are in pain.
Sickle cell can be prevented by simply not marrying somebody who is "AS' or "SS" if you are also "SS" or "AS".
HOTLINE DOCUMENTARY will air at 8:30 this Thursday morning on JOY 99.7 FM.
Don't miss it!
