Police in Ejisu police in the Ashanti Region are not ruling out arson in last Monday’s fire which killed a family of five at Kobriso in Ejisu.
The husband of Akua Afriyie and father to her four kids, who perished in the fire, has been invited to assist police investigations.
Municipal Commander, Superintendent Stephen Kwakye says pieces of information picked up by police indicate the fire that killed 52-year old Akua Afriyie and her four children could have been deliberately started by someone.
But the police are yet to arrest any suspect as they remain tight-lipped on who is involved in the arson case.
But Nhyira News sources say police may also question some close allies of the late Akua Afriyie as part of investigations.
It is not clear what triggered the action of the person or persons who might have set the 6-bedroom apartment of the victims ablaze.
Municipal Commander, Superintendent Stephen Kwakye told Nhyira News with the support of the Fire Service, police could soon unravel the circumstances behind the fire.

Meanwhile, the bodies of Monday dawn's fire were laid to rest at their Aduman hometown in the Afigya Kwabre District on Tuesday after a post-mortem examination.
