Electricity Company of Ghana ECG is set to announce a load management system next week.
This, according to the Volta River Authority (VRA) and Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCO), is as a result of shortfall in the supply of gas from Nigeria.
This announcement comes in the wake of erratic power supply across the country. Several parts of Accra till date, have no electricity.
However, Director of Operations at ECG, Tetteh Okine, said they will publish a time-table for the load shedding exercise to enable consumers plan accordingly.
“We are still in talks with our partners within the power sector and we will be able to firm up on the quantities, which we need to offload at each period of the time. Once we have that we will come out with a programme by the beginning to the middle of next week. It will be on our website, call centres and widely circulated”, he noted.
