Headteachers in Ahomahomasu Circuit in Fanteakwa District have appealed to Ghana Education Service to organize in-service training courses on the new syllabus for effective and efficient implementation of the educational reforms.
They made the call at a meeting with Mr Cephas Noagbesenu, Ahomahomasu Circuit Supervisor of Education to discuss issues affecting effective teaching and learning.
Mr Noagbesenu urged them to be transparent in the disbursement of the capitation grant to maintain their dignity.
He noted that poor relationships among teachers would affect the quality of teaching and learning under the new educational reforms and called on teachers to establish good rapport with their colleagues from other schools to enable their pupils have respect for them.
Mr Noagbesenu advised teachers to stop undermining their colleagues and refrain from revealing issues in their schools to the public to win the sympathy of their communities.
He called for collaboration between School Management Committees and Parent-Teacher-Associations to ensure discipline in schools.
