The Canada branch of the National Democratic Congress, NDC, has congratulated the party’s newly appointed running mate, John Dramani Mahama.
A statement signed by Charles N. Nkansah on behalf of NDC Canada, described the choice of John Mahama as a right decision, especially coming from a difficult field of equally capable candidates.
“The choice of Hon. John Dramani Mahama, which was unanimously endorsed, by National Executive Committee (NEC) and the Council of Elders of the NDC should put to rest the heated debate generated in the weeks leading to this announcement. It is time to re-unite the NDC as one family once again for a common purpose that is to win the December 7, 2008 Presidential and Parliamentary elections. We in NDC Canada wish to congratulate all the other short-listed personalities for this Vice Presidential Candidate position and everyone who have helped in making this selection process an exciting and fruitful exercise,” the statement said.
