Ghana's sole Confederations Cup campaigners, Medeama SC, will leave Accra on Tuesday(today), April 15, for Congo for the first leg of the final qualifying match against AC Leopards.
A contingent of 18 players, five technical officials and five management members are expected to leave Ghana for the crucial assignment.
Head coach Roberto Paulette is confident the team will scale over the Congolese to make their progress to the group stages, a reality.
“We are keen on making progress in the competition that is why we are leaving on Tuesday, to acclimatize well ahead of time.
“We mean business and we will leave no stone unturned to realize our dreams. They are very strong side, that is capable of defeating us and so we will not underrate them.
“We have a lot of respect for them, but that will not stop us from beating them at their own back yard.” The coach declared.
He however reckoned that some of their players are having minor injuries, but was convinced they will recover in due time for the game.
