Team manager of Asante Kotoko Godwin Ablordey has been charged for two counts of misconduct after physically assaulting assistant referee Ashitey Armah in their premier league game against Heart of Lions at the Baba Yara stadium in Kumasi.
Ablordey also insulted the match officials during recess of the game.
The former Asante Kotoko is set to appear before the Disciplinary Committee panel on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 to respond to the charges.
In a related development, Asante Kotoko have been charged for misconduct by their supporters during the game against Heart of Lions.
According to the particulars of offence, fans of Kotoko after the final whistle of their game with Heart of Lions on March 26, 2014 threw water sachets and bottles onto the tracks of the stadium.
