Novak Djokovic began his Monte Carlo Masters title defence with a quick 6-1, 6-0 win against Albert Montanes in the second round on Tuesday, maintaining his perfect record against the Spaniard.
Djokovic took only 45 minutes to beat Montanes, winning 11 consecutive games.
He improved to 6-0 against Montanes, who has taken only one set off Djokovic in their career head-to-heads.
