Ghana’s only representative in the CAF Confederations Cup, SC Medeama were this afternoon subjected to severe backlash by their Congolese counterparts AC Leopards as they lost by two unanswered goals in the 1st leg of the 1/8 stage of the competition.
Both goals came via penalties as the defense of Medeama conceded three penalties throughout the game, but the home team only managed to score two of them.
SC Medeama started the game on a high note dictating the pace for a considerable amount of the game but the defense gave little account of them as they failed to compliment the efforts of the strikers and the midfielders an action that saw them concede three penalties during the course of the game.
However, SC Medeama still has another chance to redeem their image and book qualification to the ‘money zone’, as both teams will be locking horns again in the 2nd leg of the competition next week Sunday at the Essipong stadium.
