Abraham Baah Kwame Oyortey, 25, who is on a provisional charge of murder over the killing of Ms Rosemond Nyampong, a banker, was on Thursday remanded into prison custody by a Tema Magistrate Court.
He is to re-appear before on May 19.
A duplicate docket on the case has been sent by the court to the Attorney Generals Office for advice.
This has been his sixth appearance before the court concerning the charge.
On November 21, 2013, Rosemond, a worker at the Credit Department of Stanbic Bank, was found murdered in the kitchen of her rented apartment at Baatsona in Accra.
The police later discovered the deceaseds Toyota Yaris saloon car at a car washing bay in Odumasi Krobo in the lower Manya District of the Eastern Region.
Abraham was arrested by the police when he arrived at the bay to drive the car away.
He had removed the vehicles number plates and stickers.
