José Mourinhocame out swinging after being hit with an FA charge for improper conduct for ironically congratulating referee Mike Dean on an "unbelievable performance" in the Sunderland match, claiming he feels gagged and calling on people to show Chelsea more respect.
"I cannot say a lot. I do not feel free. Because every time I speak, there's a consequence. Even if I say the referee was amazing, that is a reason for me to be charged. If you want a better press conference, speak with the FA", Mourinho fumed.
The Portuguese coach revealed that Eden Hazard is a doubt for Wednesday's return leg against Atlético: "Hazard is out for Sunday, and I think he is out for Wednesday, but let's wait".
Quizzed about whether he would be fielding a second-string line-up on Sunday at Anfield in order to keep his first-choice players fresh for the Champions League, Mou claimed that was a "private" decision and stated that Chelsea "deserve more respect than they are getting" for what they have "done for English football for the last 10 years".
"[The fans] want Chelsea to go to Liverpool and play, as always, at the maximum giving everything they have. Which players? That's our decision, not your decision", added the coach.
Asked about the Blues' chances of winning silverware this season, the ex-Real Madrid man stated that his only concern is "to give everything to our club, to make our families proud of us as good, professional honest people".
Mourinho also ruled himself out of the United job: "I told Chelsea they never have to worry about me because I don't want to leave. I will stay here until the club wants me to leave".
