Fashion is an art, a culture with diverse-subcultures and, to many others a job they’re emotionally attached to. In whichever way you take it, fashion has a quintessential appeal depending on how and where it’s coming from.
That’s what students at Ho Polytechnic in the Volta Region are aiming at, apparently. The Fashion Department of the school has put together a fashion show that is set to attract some of the country’s top fashion designers.
These guests may not be there to parade their own designs but to observe more than a hundred fresh graduates from the school display their exquisite range of styles.
The event which comes off on the 10th of May, 2014 is dubbed “Passion for Fashion,”. And as the theme suggests, it will be a real time for the expression of student passion for fashion.
Joana Saah, one of the organizers told the media: “We’re all set to showcase the best from Ho, the best from the young talents here in Ghana.
“We love fashion and that’s what drives our passion. You have to be at the event to witness how young people display their dexterity in fashion.”
“You’ll also enjoy sighting our beautiful women and handsome men walk up and down the stage during the show,” she said.
The department hopes to showcase some of its designs at the National Fashion Weekend and international fashion shows abroad.
“That means on Saturday 10th May, Ho should be your destination.” The event starts at 6:00pm.
