United States coach Jurgen Klinsmann said that he will keep his FIFA World Cup options open as long as he can take 30 players to a final training camp later this month .
The former Die mannschaft of Germany coach revealed that he will be heading to the training camp at Stanford University in northern California with 30 players while stating that the timing is still complicated as some players in the ‘The Stars and Stripes’ team are just returning from injuries and need to be evaluated in camp, so the need for a 30-man roaster.
However Klinsmann plans to announce his preliminary roster on the 12th of May, a day before it must be given to FIFA and two days before the training camp opens.
The United States has three friendly tune-ups scheduled before the World Cup, on 27 May against Azerbaijan in San Francisco, on 1 June against Turkey in Harrison, New Jersey and on 7 June against Nigeria in Jacksonville, Florida.
