Leading Ghanaian highlife musician Charles K. Fosu [Daddy Lumba] will be staging concerts in Brazil to entertain fans during the 2014 World Cup.
The initiative which is being put together by Kenpong Travel and Tours (KT&T) is to provide quality Ghanaian entertainment throughout the tournament which kicks off on June 12.
The Chief Executive Officer of KT&T Kennedy Agyepong has a long-standing friendship with the ace highlife musician which saw the use of his Accra mansion as the location for Daddy Lumba’s new hit song ‘Ye Nea Woho Beto Wu (Yentie Obiaa)’.
The plan by KT&T is to offer quality Ghanaian entertainment for the numerous fans that will be travelling to Brazil to primarily support the Black Stars who will be making their third successive appearance at the World Cup finls.
“We want to offer our clients the best of packages, hence this initiative, Lumba has been a very good friend and has decided to support the Black Stars in his own small way by entertaining soccer fans during the tourney,” Kennedy Agyepong said in a statement.
Daddy Lumba has several hit songs and albums to his name.
Notable of them include Aben Woha, Theresah, Obi Ate Me So Buor, Yene Wu Sere Kwa amongst others.
Ex Ghanaian boxing world champion Azumah Nelson will be making the trip to Brazil alongside the highlife musician as part of plans to promote the brand Ghana in Brazil throughout the competition.
