An outspoken member of the New Patriotic Party, Musah Superior has chided members of the party who are publicly campaigning for the vice presidential slot of the party.
He described the intense lobbying as unacceptable.
Musah Superior told Joy News that some supporters of the party was “putting undue pressure on the party’s presidential candidate,” Nana Akufo-Addo.
“It is important that those lobbying for people to become vice presidential nominees on our party’s ticket do that with caution and not put undue pressure on our presidential candidate to make a wrong decision” he pointed out.
He said even though lobbying was important, doing publicly was dangerous for the party.
“It is completely unacceptable for people to be lobbying publicly and mobilising people to be speaking publicly”, he charged.
He said lobbyists should rather talk privately to people who are closer to the presidential candidate.
Musah Superior said the bidding for the position should be done in a manner that will not jeopardise the party’s chances.
So far the lobbying has been “so chaotic, is been unacceptable and I hold all those lobbying for the job responsible for this indisciplined form of going about things”, he stated.
He advised Nana Akufo-Addo to ignore all those lobbying publicly for the slot.
