Flag bearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress Prof. Atta Mills is set to join a group of picketers at the Parliament house on Tuesday to protest the 70% government sale of Ghana Telecom to Vodafone.
A statement from the party which was later confirmed on Joy FM by Mahama Ayariga spokes person of the professor, said Atta Mills was using the demonstration to express his opposition for the sale.
According to Prof. Mills the current sale agreement lacked transparency and would reverse the transaction should an NDC government be voted in to power.
The flag bearer has however called on all well meaning Ghanaians to join the demonstration tomorrow to implore law makers not to support the NPP government in its desperate bid to sell GT.
The protest which is at the behest of the Committee for Joint Action (CJA) will also involve other opposition parties and civil society groups.
Parliament reconvenes tomorrow to debate and ratify the 70% sale GT.
